Visiting

What’s for sale?

Visit the Walled Garden during opening hours to wander, ponder and browse the heritage vegetable plants, seasonal produce, native plants, annuals and perennials for sale in the nursery. We also have woodland products and offer gardening, wildlife and conservation advice. We are currently chemical free and we are aiming towards being organic and peat free.

As well as stocking popular and traditional annuals and perennials, the aim in setting up the nursery was to provide a source of quality native species to encourage people to plant for local wildlife, and to ensure that heritage and heirloom plants and vegetables survive into the future .

Many heritage plants, vegetables and native species are available for sale. And over the year seasonal vegetables will supply local pubs/restaurants too.

During the cold month of February we will be open for artisan bread from The Pennybun bake house, free range milk and eggs on Thursdays and Fridays 9-4pm and as the month slowly warms up our new herb and veg plants will be on sale. The gardens will be open to walk round too.

Due to corona we are keeping everyone safe by keeping a safe distance. We also offer orders over the phone or email, we will leave the veg for you to collect, complete with payment methods.

Final note

Sorry but we don’t allow people to bring in food, drinks, or a picnic rug. Please remember this is a privately owned garden, so keep within the walls. Well-behaved dogs and children are welcome – dogs must be on leads at all times and any mess cleared up and taken home.
