Visiting

What’s for sale?

Visit the Walled Garden during opening hours to wander, ponder and browse the heritage vegetable plants, seasonal produce, native plants, annuals and perennials for sale in the nursery. We also have woodland products and offer gardening, wildlife and conservation advice. We are currently chemical free and we are aiming towards being organic and peat free.

As well as stocking popular and traditional annuals and perennials, the aim in setting up the nursery was to provide a source of quality native species to encourage people to plant for local wildlife, and to ensure that heritage and heirloom plants and vegetables survive into the future .

Many heritage plants, vegetables and native species are available for sale. And over the year seasonal vegetables will supply local pubs/restaurants too.

When can you visit?

CORONA UPDATE

We are offering a local delivery service of veg plants and compost for you to start growing your own vegetables. If you are interested then please give Catherine a call or email for details. Keep safe folks!

We are open to the public every Thursday, Friday and Saturday from February to December as well as our event days. If you are unable to visit on these days it is worth sending an enquiry as Steve or Catherine are usually on the estate and able to open the nursery and gardens.

NOTE: WE WILL BE CLOSED From 12th October to 11th November and re-opening as usual from the 12th November

From December to February the gardens are normally closed but please do get in touch to arrange a visit and we will see what we can do.

Please remember this is a privately owned garden. Always keep within the walls. Well-behaved dogs and children are welcome – dogs must be on leads at all times and any mess cleared up and taken home.
